🏡 Thinking About a Career in Real Estate? Your Frequently Asked Questions Guide to Joining Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Foothills
Good morning, future real estate superstars! We receive a lot of questions from individuals who are interested in getting their real estate license and wondering what it’s like to build a career with our firm.
To help you take that next exciting step, we’ve put together a quick Q&A to show you why Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Foothills is the perfect place to build your business.
Q: I’m interested in real estate, but I don’t have my license yet. What are the first steps in North Carolina?
A: To become a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, you must complete an approved 75-hour Pre-Licensing course and pass the NC real estate license examination. Once you pass and go through a background check, you will be issued a “Provisional Broker” license. To fully activate that license and begin practicing, you must affiliate with a supervising real estate brokerage—which is where we come in!
Q: What sets Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Foothills apart from other brokerages?
A: We combine the local, deep-rooted market expertise of the Catawba Valley region with the massive power and name recognition of an iconic national lifestyle brand. As the only real estate brand backed by the trusted Better Homes and Gardens name, our agents gain instant credibility and access to a highly network of brand-loyal consumers.
Q: As a New Agent How Does Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Foothills Help You Get Started?
A: At Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Foothills we have a dedicated training program for new agents to help them get off to a great start. Not to be negative but this business has a huge failure rate for new agents and it is made even more difficult if you are not affiliated with a firm that is committed to your success.
Q: Where do your agents work? What areas do you serve?
A: We proudly serve the beautiful Foothills and Catawba Valley region! Our team covers a broad footprint, including Hickory, Newton, Conover, Maiden, Granite Falls, Hudson, Lenoir, Taylorsville, Bethlehem, Denver, Mountain View, and the Lake Hickory area.
Q: What tools and support do you provide to new and experienced agents?
A: Our core goal is to provide our clients with a smooth buying and selling experience. To make that happen, we heavily equip our agents with the latest industry technology, tools, and resources. From robust CRM platforms and marketing materials to memberships in the Catawba Valley REALTOR® Association and Canopy MLS, we give you the foundation you need to operate at the highest professional level.
We also pride ourselves on our marketing prowess by staying on the cutting edge of what is relevant in todays market. Because of this, agents can for the most part let us handle the heavy lifting in marketing their properties so they can spend more time with their clients.
Q: What kind of culture can I expect at the firm?
A: We believe in building lasting relationships—not just with our clients, but with our agents. We have a very welcoming and supportive culture at our firm. We also have adopted the core Business values of Better Homes of PAIGE: Passion, Authenticity, Inclusion, Growth and Excellence.
